The series creators discuss the possibility of shooting a spin-off after the main show is over.
HBO programming chief Casey Bloys confirmed the information that the popular fantasy series would end with season eight. The sixth season ended in late July, which means that the last episodes of Game of Thrones will be released in 2018.
The series authors plan that the last season will consist of only six episodes in contrary to the usual ten. Season seven will also be shorter – it is planned to make only seven episodes.
Game of Thrones is one of the most popular series in the world, so the TV channel management team does not rule out the possibility of a spin-off based on the original show. There are not concrete plans right now as the team is to shoot two more seasons for the series.
