To mark its 50th anniversary next year, Art Basel launches the Interventions project. As part of the project, artists will create interventions“around the topic of the fair as a marketplace and as a historical site for exchange, trade, and competition, addressing the production, circulation, mediation, and consumption of contemporary art in a global world”, Artguide reports

The international project will be presented at all three Art Basel fairs in Basel, Hong Kong and Miami Beach

The projects will be curated by Kasper König in Basel, Christina Li (curator of Hong Kong’s forthcoming presentation at the Venice Biennale) in Hong Kong and Hamza Walker (executive director of LAXART in Los Angeles) in Miami

The full list of artists participating in the project will be announced in autumn 2019
