“I am incredibly honored and humbled to be a small part history being made upon the opening of the National Memorial for Peace and Justice and the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, Alabama.”

The sculpture has references to two things that still exist in the US – police brutality against African Americans and racial bias in the criminal justice system. Both issues are among the key problems Black Lives Matter campaigns against.
