Dastan's Basement is one of 28 newcomers at the fair that will take place on March 29–31 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Fourteen galleries among the first-timers, among them Gallery Baton from Seoul and Gallery Espace from New Dehli, represent Asia. India will be represented by nine galleries against four last year. Among the newcomers are 47 Canal, Gavin Brown’s enterprise, Hannah Hoffman Gallery and Galerie Emanuel Layr.

Founded in 2012, Dastan's Basement focuses on young and emerging Iranian artists. The gallery expanded in 2014, launching a project space dedicated to the work of Iranian masters.
