If you shine a torch on the album booklet in a dark room, you can see 3D images.
David Bowie’s another fan earlier found that the black star on the record sleeve turns into a galaxy of stars if it is left exposed to sunlight. After it was discovered, the album’s designer Jonathan Barnbrook said the record had many secrets to be found by the musician’s fans.
It was later discovered that the star on the cover becomes fluorescent blue in a black light. The same happens with the starry sky on the gatefold sleeve. Another secret is that if you reflect light off the A-side of the LP onto a wall, you get a flying bird, while the B-side gives a reflection of a space ship.

This time another secret was discovered. If you shine a torch onto the LP’s booklet on the page with the lyrics “Girl Loves Me” in a dark room, you can see colourful 3D images. The text appears 3D with red shadow colouring.
“There are a lot of other things going on that aren’t completely at the surface. … This thing of keeping the meaning open, I think is better. There’s one big thing which people haven’t discovered yet. Let’s just say, if people find it, they find it. If they don’t, they don’t,” Jonathan Barnbook said on the album design.
The album Blackstar that became the last for the musician was released on his birthday on January 8, 2016. David Bowie died two days later.
