It prepares fans for the new season of the series and reveals what happened to the main characters in the last 26 years.

Mark Frost, a co-creator of Twin Peaks, released a book based on the series. The book published by Flatiron Books is entitled The Secret History of Twin Peaks. The first 16 minutes of the audio version are available online.

The author describes the book as a vastly layered, wide-ranging history of the series that tells the story of what happened after the end of season two in 1991. The series by David Lynch and Mark Frost will be back on the screen next year, and the book is set to fill the 26-year gap between the seasons.

The audio version of 368-page The Secret History of Twin Peaks is 10 hours long and features the voices of Michael Horse, Russ Tamblyn and Kyle MacLachlan, who played in the original series in the early 1990s. The 16-minute extract of the audio book tells about the past of the widowed Josie Packard, one of the key characters of the first two seasons.

Twin Peaks series was screened in 1990-1991. It became incredibly popular in the US and around the world. Rolling Stone recently included it into the list of the greatest TV shows of all times.
