The filmmaker will appear in the film Lucky as an actor.
Having just finished working on a continuation of Twin Peaks series, scriptwriter and director David Lynch said he planned to appear in front of the camera. The 70-year-old filmmaker will play in John Carroll Lynch’s directorial debut Lucky.
The film tells a story of a 90-year-old atheist living in an off-the-map desert town filled with quirky characters. The fiercely independent man finds himself at the precipice of life, thrust into a journey of self-exploration. Harry Dean Stanton, who turns 90 soon, will play the main role.
Stanton and Lynch already worked together in a number of projects, including Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me and the continuation of the series that is expected to be released on Showtime in early 2017.
Lucky is being shot right now. The release date hasn’t been announced yet. Besides Lynch and Stanton, the movie will star Ron Livingston, Ed Begley Jr. and Beth Grant.
