Nashashibi will get $35,000 as financial support

Rosalind Nashashibi will become the National Gallery's first artist-in-residence, Artguide reports.

Rosalind Nashashibi is an artist, filmmaker and 2017 Turner Prize nominee. She was selected by a jury of artists and curators headed by the director of the Pier Arts Centre in Stromness.

She has begun working at the gallery and got access to museum’s collections and research teams in early September, 2019.

Nashashibi will have an exhibition at the National Gallery and the Pier Arts Centre in summer 2020.
