“Solo exhibition of the Blind Spot project is available in Prague in the Kasárna Karlín space until November 28th,” Maxim Sarychau writes on Facebook. “It was my most spontaneous and difficult exhibition this year.

The Karlin barracks were built for soldiers in ~ 1850, they were used by the nazi in World War II, and in 1968 Czechs broadcasted anti-communist radio from here. Later it was also tied with the army. Since 2017, it is rented by artists that plans to make a large cultural and social center.

The exhibition itself is located in the former army pool. Now it seems to me that we have done the impossible by organazing an exhibition in such a complex space, and mounting everything on our own. I am very glad that everything turned out!

I’d like to thank Maryna Puzdrova for her fire and giving us this super opportunity, Aliaxey Talstou for his determination to jump into the empty pool (we couldn’t have succeeded without you!), Tereza Reichelová for her help.”
Kasárna Karlín is located at Prvního pluku 2, Karlín, Hlavní Město Praha. Find more on the space’s website and on Facebook.

Blind Spot is a documentary and fine art photography project exploring fear, violence and aggression in authoritarian states.
