The scholarship is established to finance college education for bold and conscious young women who think outside the box.
The American singer continues to contribute to the fight for women’s rights and influence in society. The singer established a scholarship programme called Formation Scholars. Scholarships will be awarded for the 2017-2018 school year to four winners.
The scholarship is available for students of Howard University, Parsons School of Design, Spelman College and Berklee College of Music. Applicants must study creative arts, music, literature or African-American studies. According to the singer’s website, the scholarship is meant for “young women who are unafraid to think outside the box and are bold, creative, conscious and confident”. All details and application deadlines for Beyoncé’s scholarship are set by colleges.
