Season 3 of the legendary series will come out on May 21.
Showtime continues to release mysterious teasers as if 26 years of waiting were not enough to keep fans of the mystical story in suspense. Two new 30-second videos were published on Twin Peaks’ channel on YouTube.
The first clip shows Kyle MacLachlan’s character – FBI special agent Dale Cooper. The second video reminds us about Laura Palmer’s mysterious death, the event around which the plot revolves. Both teasers go with the tagline “It is happening again”.
Twin Peaks season 3 will premiere on Showtime on May 21. Viewers will see two hour-long episodes. The next two episodes will be available online immediately after the premiere. The rest 14 episodes will be broadcast once a week during the following months.
Twin Peaks was aired in 1990-1991 and gained huge popularity and achieved the iconic status. The first two seasons included 30 episodes. In 1992, David Lynch shot the film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me, a prequel to the series. Twin Peaks is often called one of the best series ever. For example, Rolling Stone recently included it into the top 20 best TV shows of all time.
